A.Word.A.Day--contraindicate

contraindicate (kon-truh-IN-di-kayt) verb tr.

To indicate against (an otherwise suitable medical treatment) due to a condition or circumstance. For example, the use of aspirin is contraindicated in babies due to the danger of Reye's syndrome.
